People USA operates 24/7 telephone Warm Lines. Warm lines are a direct service delivered via telephone by a peer who provides a person in distress with a confidential venue to discuss their current status and/or needs. Warm lines are for situations that are not considered emergencies but could potentially escalate if left unaddressed.
Our Warm Line staff are trained to be welcoming, respectful, active listeners, empathetic, hopeful, empowering, and to see each caller as a “whole person,” beyond just their behavioral health.
“People USA has been a critical player in our community. Their peer and respite services are professional and effective. We’re excited to expand services in Warren and Washington Counties through their partnership with Glen Falls Hospital. The health care system can be difficult to navigate and these peer support services have proven results.”—Mary McLaughlin, RN, MBA, Executive Director, Glens Falls PHN
