People USA is currently developing, with the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), a medically supervised inpatient withdrawal and stabilization center in Greenport, NY (just outside the City of Hudson) that will serve Greene, Columbia, Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, and Putnam counties with cutting-edge detoxification and crisis services. It will have 20 beds. (Coming Soon)
There is an urgent need for these services, as well as an innovative approach to them. This is justified by comparing the region’s high opioid-related overdose rates with broader statewide data.
At our medically supervised inpatient detox, People USA will provide whole health assessments, person-centered care and discharge planning, motivational counseling, pharmacological treatment, peer services, and transitional care to ensure care continuity and successful outcomes.
