People USA has been a leader in providing person-centered care for those experiencing acute emotional distress for more than 20 years. We are available to listen and help 24/7/365, with respectful, trauma-informed support, safe spaces and referrals to further needed services.
People USA’s Rose Houses
People USA’s Rose Houses are short-term crisis respites that are home-like alternatives to hospital psychiatric ERs and inpatient units. Rose Houses are open and immediately accessible 24/7/365 for hospital diversion. The service is 100% voluntary. While at Rose House, guests have access to a full, customizable menu of services. The Dutchess County Stabilization Center is a 24/7 community crisis response hub where people of all ages can connect immediately with an integrated team of clinical counselors, peer specialists, and behavioral health professionals, as well as to our local community’s health & human service providers. Forensic Mobile Crisis & Response Team
The Westchester Forensic Mobile Team works directly with law enforcement in the field and courts seeking alternatives to incarceration (ATI), to provide immediate crisis response and/or transitional care services to people at risk of entering the criminal justice system due to under-addressed behavioral health issues. NY Project Hope (COVID Response)
People USA is a NY Project Hope provider. Project Hope is a COVID-19 crisis counseling program that provides information, education, emotional support, and links to resources. Learn More
Integrated Peer Services
People USA employs staff who are embedded in hospital ERs, inpatient units, and intensive short-term treatment. They add value to the already existing services by providing, modeling, and advocating for high-quality customer service, trauma-informed care and better engagement between provider and patient. People USA’s Warm Lines are 24/7 peer-run crisis response & support telephone lines where people can feel safe and open talking about difficult issues; share stories, personal feelings, information, and strategies for living well; begin to look at life patterns differently; and get inspired and motivated to move towards health & wellness. Our Employment and Benefits Counselors work with people to maximize their available benefits (e.g. SSI, SSDI, TA, etc.) and work incentives, plan goals, boost their employability, find and secure jobs, or provide extra support as they work. Learn More

Transitional Care Wellness Teams work in and out of hospitals to provide patients being discharged with intensive, time-limited transitional services, ensuring continuity of care, preventing readmissions, and improving health outcomes. Learn More
Mobile Outreach Team
We work with people living at Rockland Psychiatric Center to help them transition back to community living, so that they can live the life they envision. Our combined expertise is used to provide transitioning residents with hands-on exposure to various dimensions of life and wellness, and to help them focus on and implement their own goals. Engagement Centers are walk-in hubs for guests to connect with others who have similar lived experiences with behavioral health challenges. They can also begin learning about local services, supports and resources that can help enrich their lives. Learn More
